Fast and timely
At the end of June, Hue City Police announced that they would temporarily stop accepting applications for ID cards and electronic identification accounts to update and adjust database systems to ensure the roadmap for implementing the two-level local government organization (CQDP2C) officially coming into operation from July 1.
As one of the cases affected by the inability to renew the ID card according to the prescribed age, Mr. Nguyen Van Thuc (60 years old, Thuan Hoa ward) said: Because the ID card has expired, he has encountered many difficulties when making transactions at the bank, if it is prolonged, it will be very inconvenient.
Immediately after CQDP2C came into operation, Hue City Police directed units to quickly arrange 11 ID card issuance points spread across the area to continue serving people's needs.
“Upon receiving the information, I went to the ID card issuance point at the Public Administration Service Center of Thuan Hoa Ward (merged from the wards: Phu Hoi, Phu Nhuan, Phuong Duc, Vinh Ninh, Phuoc Vinh and Truong An) to complete the procedures. The process took place quickly under the enthusiastic guidance of the police comrades,” Mr. Thuc shared.
Although it has only been in operation since July 1, police officers and soldiers in communes and wards in the city have quickly stabilized their organizational structure and immediately started working to resolve administrative procedures for people.
In recent days, the Board of Directors of Hue City Police has visited and worked at many police units of wards and communes after the merger. In particular, the Board of Directors of the City Police requires the police of communes and wards to quickly stabilize the apparatus, not to interrupt activities. At the same time, it is necessary to immediately start the work of building the force, doing well the political , ideological, regime and policy work for officers and soldiers; strengthening unity, consensus, solidarity, attachment, always upholding the sense of responsibility, overcoming all difficulties, and completing tasks well.
Ensure security and order
On July 1, Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Nguyen Van Phuong signed Directive No. 10/CT-UBND on the smooth operation of the CQDP2C model and the construction of comprehensive communes and wards. One of the specific mottos emphasized by the Chairman of Hue City People's Committee is "No social evils - No noise/pollution - No hot spots".
Accordingly, the local police force has stepped up prevention, combat, early detection and containment to prevent new drug crimes and social evils from arising in the area. At the same time, it is necessary to ensure a firm grasp of the area, timely handling, and to prevent complications and prolongation; to prevent hot spots and large gatherings from arising...
Established by merging An Dong, An Tay and An Cuu wards, the new An Cuu ward has a population of over 83,000 people and a large area. From the very first days of operation, the ward police have assigned officers and soldiers to coordinate patrols to prevent and combat crimes in the area.
Major Nguyen Tan Phuoc, Chief of An Cuu Ward Police, said: In addition to ensuring the progress of handling records and administrative procedures for people, the unit directs officers and soldiers to continue to stay close to the area and increase patrols and controls with the goal of ensuring security and order, preventing hot spots from occurring.
In Huong An ward (merged from Huong An, An Hoa and Huong So wards), there are currently nearly 36 thousand people, spread across 13 areas with 29 residential groups. With a large area and large population, the work of ensuring political security and social order and safety is given special attention by the local police force.
In addition to efforts to resolve administrative procedures for people, Huong An Ward Police have focused on arranging working groups to promptly resolve work, especially ensuring security and order in the area, determined to resolve cases right from the grassroots level.
According to information from Hue City Police, after the administrative boundary merger, the entire city has 21 ward police stations and 19 commune police stations. With the goal of building a strong, comprehensive, effective, close-to-the-people commune-level police station, capable of solving security and order issues from the beginning and at the grassroots level, Major General Nguyen Thanh Tuan, Director of Hue City Police, has directed the new commune-level police chief and deputy chief to proactively grasp the local situation and emerging, complicated security and order incidents to advise on handling, along with urgent implementation, ensuring progress and assigned work targets.
“Commune-level police need to focus on and do a good job of advisory work to promote the combined strength of the entire political system and society in crime prevention and control. Closely combine social prevention and professional prevention, limit the causes and conditions for crime to arise right at the grassroots level; proactively arrange forces and ensure conditions to perform public services; perform tasks continuously, without interruption or discontinuity,” the Director of Hue City Police emphasized.
