Ho Chi Minh City plans to pick up civil servants from Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau
Not only the provinces are proactively opening routes, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction is also developing a plan to organize shuttle buses to pick up officials, civil servants and public employees from the two neighboring localities of Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau to Ho Chi Minh City.
The route from Ho Chi Minh City to Binh Duong is over 41 km long, with 12 trips planned each day, divided into 3 time slots: morning, noon and afternoon. The departure point is the Binh Duong Provincial Public Administration Center and the destination is the Saigon Bus Station.
The 77 km long Ho Chi Minh City – Ba Ria – Vung Tau route will also have 12 trips/day, with 2 additional trips added on weekends to meet higher travel demand on holidays.
The survey results show that up to 968 officials, civil servants and public employees in Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau registered their need to use shuttle buses, of which more than 83% have daily travel needs. The operation plan is expected to be implemented from July to the end of 2025, with a total cost of about 1.3 billion VND/month, taken from the budget to support public passenger transport by bus.
The simultaneous opening of inter-provincial bus routes not only solves the problem of traffic connection but also contributes to ensuring administrative stability and maintaining work efficiency in the transition period after merging administrative units.
