VHO - On the afternoon of June 27, the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Culture and Exhibition held a closing ceremony for the course "Training in singing folk songs of 3 regions and explaining exhibition images". The Organizing Committee awarded certificates of completion of the course to more than 100 students.

More than 100 students have just completed the course "Training in singing folk songs of 3 regions and explaining exhibition images"

The class took place from June 11-27, 2025, with the participation of more than 100 students who are professional officers, movement officers, members of clubs - teams at the system of Cultural - Sports Centers, Cultural - Sports and Media Centers from Thu Duc City and 21 districts in Ho Chi Minh City.

The training course aims to improve expertise and practical skills in cultural and artistic activities, especially grassroots propaganda work for local cultural and artistic staff and collaborators.

Besides, it contributes to preserving and promoting the traditional artistic values ​​of the nation to all classes of people.

The training program is designed with 6 theoretical and practical topics, focusing on two main contents: skills to perform folk songs of three regions and skills to explain exhibition images suitable for visual communication activities at the grassroots level.

In particular, the training in folk singing skills is undertaken by Associate Professor, Doctor, Meritorious Teacher Nguyen Thi My Liem - Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Music Association and Master Pham Thi Kim Thoa - Vocal Lecturer of the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music.

The students staged and performed many unique folk songs from three regions.

Students learn about the characteristics of folk songs in each region, practice singing techniques typical of the Northern - Central - Southern styles, and practice staging mass art performances using folk song materials.

At the same time, the class encourages students to develop their own choreography skills and coordinate performances in local promotional events.

In addition, the topic "Exhibition of exhibition images in propaganda work" instructed by MSc. Nguyen Minh Hoang - Head of SkillsEducation and Psychological Counseling Department, Ho Chi Minh City Children's House, helps students master effective explanation methods, suitable for the content and communication objects at the facility.

Speaking at the end of the course, Ms. Chu Thi Hong Thuy - Captain of the Ho Chi Minh City Mobile Propaganda Team said that the training course not only helps students improve their professional skills, but also contributes to preserving and spreading traditional artistic values, thereby improving the effectiveness of cultural institutions at the grassroots level.

Ms. Thuy highly appreciated the serious learning spirit, the inquisitive attitude of the students, as well as the enthusiasm and responsibility of the teaching staff, which created a positive, vibrant and practical learning environment.

The performances were performed seriously and attractively by the students.

At the closing ceremony, the students staged and performed a report program, introducing many folk songs such as Que huong ba mien (composer: Thanh Son), Moi nuoc, moi trau (Quan ho Bac Ninh) , Di cach (Northern folk song), Dem trang phuong vai (Vi dam Nghe - Tinh), Lullaby , Lien khuc Ly chieu chieu - Ly dat giong - Ly keo chai (Southern folk song)...

In particular, the performance "Love folk songs" - written by students themselves based on the folk song "Vi Dam" - was chosen as a tribute to the lecturer.

The training course is part of a series of regular activities of the Ho Chi Minh City Cultural and Exhibition Center, contributing to training and fostering core forces in propaganda and agitation work, building a healthy cultural and spiritual life in the community.
