The 2025 Award officially changed its name to "Journalism Award on Science , Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation", adding two strategic areas: innovation and digital transformation, marking a comprehensive step forward, aiming to promote more substantive communication about these areas.
A new breakthrough is the change in the entire form of receiving works, completely converting to the process of receiving works in digital form, in line with the trend of digitalization of journalism and helping to reduce costs and time for authors. This demonstrates a strong spirit of digital transformation in the organization of the award.

For the first time in the history of the Award, the Award Regulations allow foreign individuals or organizations to participate if their works are used by Vietnamese press agencies for publication in accordance with the law. This is an effort to internationalize and integrate science and technology communication more than ever.
Submission period: from January 1 to November 15, 2025.
The new regulations keep the number of awards the same, however the Head of the Organizing Committee has the right to adjust the structure if necessary, to suit the reality of each year.
In addition to content and form, Decision 1384/QD-BKHCN focuses on works that must create positive community effects, demonstrate the social responsibility of journalists, and at the same time increase the ability to spread among the public.
The awarding of the Prize is flexible according to the implementation progress, ensuring professionalism and publicity.
The renaming of the Award, the complete transformation of the form of receiving entries, and the expansion of the subjects and scope of the award show the effort to renew and modernize a prestigious press award. This is not only a professional playground, but also a place to honor dedicated writers who have made practical contributions to policy communication, spreading science, technology, innovation and digital transformation to the whole society.
