On the morning of July 1, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong chaired a working session with relevant units on the Project to organize an Exhibition of Socio-Economic Achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day.

Attending the meeting were representatives of the following units: Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition; Department of Planning and Finance; Department of Performing Arts; Department of Press; Department of Copyright; Vietnam Museum of Fine Arts; Museum of Vietnamese History; Ho Chi Minh Museum.

The exhibition of socio -economic achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day is one of the large-scale activities, at the same time containing many messages sent to all classes of people in the country, overseas Vietnamese and many international friends and tourists about the great achievements, of historical significance in the construction and development of the country's economy, culture and society over the past 80 years under the wise and talented leadership of our Party and State.

This is also an opportunity to honor the achievements, contributions, dedication and unceasing sacrifices of generations of Vietnamese people who have always strived for the everlasting development of the nation and the happiness of the people; contributing to fostering patriotism, national pride and self-esteem; encouraging the desire for dedication, the spirit of solidarity and creativity; striving to build Vietnam in a new era - an era of growing increasingly rich, democratic, fair, civilized, prosperous and happy.

The exhibition of socio-economic achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) will take place from August 28 to September 5, 2025 at the National Exhibition Center, Co Loa, Dong Anh, Hanoi .

Regarding the organization and implementation of the Exhibition, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has completed the following tasks: Establishing the Steering Committee; Issuing the Regulations on the organization and operation of the Steering Committee; Establishing the Organizing Committee; Establishing the Subcommittees and Standing Units of the Organizing Committee; Issuing the Exhibition Organization Plan of the Organizing Committee.

On May 15, 2025, the Steering Committee held its first meeting to give opinions on the draft Project to organize an Exhibition of Socio-Economic Achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

On June 10, 2025, based on the proposal of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Central Steering Committee for the celebration of major holidays issued a Decision approving the overall project of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day, which summarized the task of organizing an exhibition of socio-economic achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day with the theme "Brilliant Vietnam, 80 years of the journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness".

On June 11, 2025, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism chaired the first meeting of the Organizing Committee in person and online to 63 provinces/cities under the Central Government to agree on how to implement the Exhibition with ministries, departments, branches and localities.

In addition, the Ministry has basically completed the design of the area allocation for the units participating in the exhibition and the plan to decorate the outside space, the dome of the main house, house A and the surrounding areas to ensure aesthetics and economy; build an exhibition identity to promptly prepare for propaganda publications; Work with Hanoi city to plan the decoration outside the exhibition, plan to place traffic lights at intersections turning into the exhibition, build bus routes to serve people's travel...

At the meeting, Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong and representatives of the units reviewed the progress of implementing specific work items assigned according to the plan. The discussion focused on issues such as: Exhibition preparation, Exhibition content, Exhibition site zoning, Festival decoration, Press activity center, etc.

• Towards the 80th National Day: Organizing a National Exhibition of Socio-Economic Achievements

The Deputy Minister requested the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibitions to urgently send documents to units and provinces to urge them to send designs, ideas and content to participate in the exhibition. Other units continue to carry out the assigned tasks. In addition, it is necessary to ensure scientific, unified and effective organization and implementation, close and synchronous coordination between Sub-committees, agencies and units to organize the Exhibition on schedule./.
