Alcaraz advances to Queen's Club semi-finals, Zverev meets Medvedev at Halle Open

(Dan Tri) - Carlos Alcaraz advanced to the Queen's Club semi-finals after defeating Rinderknech in the quarter-finals. At the Halle Open, Alexander Zverev faced Daniil Medvedev in the semi-finals.

Carlos Alcaraz faces Arthur Rinderknech in the quarterfinals of the 2025 ATP 500 Queen's Club tournament in England on the evening of June 20. The French player has the advantage of height and possesses a powerful serve, causing Alcaraz many difficulties.

Set 1 was quite tense and it seemed like the two players would go into a tie-break, but in game 11, Rinderknech unexpectedly missed a shot. Alcaraz had an important break point and won the first set 7-5.

In the second set, Rinderknech made a mistake in the fifth game and the Spaniard broke his opponent's game. Alcaraz focused on holding his serve games and his mentality made him make 2 double faults. However, Rinderknech could not take advantage and lost 4-6 in the second set.

Alcaraz defeated Rinderknech 7-5, 6-4 to advance to the 2025 Queen's Club semi-finals to face Roberto Bautista Agut at 8:30 p.m. tonight (June 21). The other semi-final will be between home player Jack Draper and Jiri Lehecka (7 p.m. June 21).

In the quarterfinals of the ATP 500 Halle Open 2025 tournament held in Germany on the morning of June 21, Alexander Zverev faced Flavio Cobolli. The German player won a break-point in his opponent's opening serve game and maintained the advantage to win the first set with a score of 6-4.

In set 2, Cobolli made two spectacular break saves and dragged Zverev into a tie-break. However, with his own strength, Zverev won 8-6 in the nerve-wracking "shootout".

Defeating Cobolli 6-4, 7-6, Zverev advanced to the semi-finals of the Halle Open 2025 to meet third seed Daniil Medvedev at 8pm today (June 21). The remaining semi-final match will be between Alexander Bublik and Karen Khachanov (9:10pm on June 21).
