This afternoon, the top 4 Miss Earth Vietnam 2025 had a debut in Ho Chi Minh City. The representative of the organizing committee officially awarded the title certificates to the beauties, announcing that runner-up Trinh My Anh will represent them to attend Miss Earth 2025.
This result was considered surprising, causing a stir among many audiences, even many conflicting opinions because normally the chosen person must be the reigning beauty queen.
Explaining the reasons for choosing 3rd runner-up Trinh My Anh, Mr. Pham Duy Khanh, Head of the Organizing Committee of Miss Earth Vietnam 2025, said that it was to prioritize factors such as capacity, courage, and experience to be able to bring better achievements for Vietnamese beauty on the international beauty map.
Mr. Khanh frankly said: "When choosing a beauty to compete in Miss Earth 2025, I first thought of 1st runner-up Bui Ly Thien Huong, but unfortunately she is 1 year older. According to the principle, representatives participating in the contest must be between 18 and 28 years old. After working with the top 4 after the final, we found that Miss Tram Anh is still too new. She is really beautiful, intelligent, and progressive, so she deserves to receive the crown in the final night. However, when choosing a beauty to compete internationally with a short preparation time, we need a beauty with a lot of experience and skills. Therefore, we decided to choose 3rd runner-up Trinh My Anh.
According to Mr. Khanh, Miss Ngo Thi Tram Anh will train to compete in Miss Earth 2026, and runner-up Bui Ly Thien Huong will also compete in an international competition next year.
Speaking further about the noise from beauty forums that the results were arranged, even bought and sold, and that the contestants memorized the answers because they knew the behavioral questions in advance, Mr. Khanh affirmed that the organizing committee did not care about the noise because every contest has supporters and non-supporters.
“A beauty pageant cannot be decided in just 3-4 hours on the final stage, but rather the entire journey. The organizers and judges consider the contestants throughout the entire journey,” said Mr. Khanh.
Runner-up Trinh My Anh was born in 2003, from Hanoi , 1.72m tall with measurements of 85-64-95. She has an impressive appearance, can communicate fluently in English, and has a lot of experience in beauty contests. She was in the top 35 of Miss Vietnam 2022, top 36 of Miss Grand Vietnam 2024.
Sharing at the announcement, Trinh My Anh was translated: "As a young girl being selected for the first time to compete internationally, I am very surprised. I may not be the best, but I have a sincere heart. With only a short time left, I will prepare everything from the beginning to be able to do my best at this year's competition. I really hope to bring the second crown to Vietnam."
Miss Ngo Thi Tram Anh also said that she will try her best to train so that she can participate in 2026 in the best way. Facing mixed comments and negative opinions about the final results, she said that she always acknowledges and accepts them to improve herself.
"I hope that during my 2 years in office, the audience will see my efforts and not be disappointed in me," Miss Tram Anh shared.
