Towards the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, streams of people are pouring into "red addresses" across the country, including the revolutionary homeland of Tuyen Quang .
That not only has a profound meaning of gratitude, but is also an opportunity for the locality to strongly exploit the potential of historical, cultural and experiential tourism .
From Tan Trao, the center of the resistance war with important decisions in the historic Autumn of 1945, to historical sites in the province, Tuyen Quang always strives to combine preserving historical values with creative tourism methods, to both attract tourists and spread its own identity.
Awakening desire
In order to fuel and promote revolutionary traditions, in recent years, the Party committees, authorities, and organizations of Tuyen Quang province, especially the Youth Union, have promoted activities to educate about revolutionary traditions.
Secretary of Tuyen Quang Provincial Youth Union Duong Minh Nguyet likened each journey to a "special class," fostering patriotism, self-reliance, and responsible living.
Not only limited to the local scope, Tuyen Quang Provincial Youth Union also coordinates with Youth Union organizations of central agencies, ministries, branches, provinces and cities across the country to carry out many meaningful activities.
“We always consider traditional education an important task. Through the journey back to the source, the young generation not only learns about history, but also trains their bravery and sense of responsibility towards their homeland and country...,” Ms. Duong Minh Nguyet shared.

Visiting the Tan Trao National Special Relic Site in Tan Trao Commune (Tuyen Quang) in early August, Ms. Ngo Thu Trang, a member of the National Assembly Office, said she felt moved, proud and grateful when she heard historical stories, offered incense to commemorate heroes and martyrs, visited artifacts, and met revolutionary witnesses.
Ms. Ngo Thu Trang expressed that every moment makes young people like her appreciate more the value of peace today.
As for Ms. Nguyen Tran Linh Chi, a member of Thanh Sen ward (Ha Tinh), she was able to see Na Nua hut with her own eyes and hear stories and advice from Uncle Ho to General Vo Nguyen Giap at the hut, visit Tan Trao communal house and learn about the National Congress in 1945..., helping her visualize and feel more deeply than when learning through books or media.
According to Secretary of Tuyen Quang Provincial Youth Union Duong Minh Nguyet, every year tens of thousands of union members and young people participate in activities at "red addresses."
After the trips, the spirit of dedication and willingness to contribute to building the homeland spread again.
Many young people have actively participated in volunteer activities, started businesses or become volunteer guides at historical sites. These are vivid examples of the effectiveness of traditional education in the integration period, contributing to building a generation of youth who are “both red and expert,” with enough courage and intelligence.
Connecting historical traditions with practical action
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Tuyen Quang province, in recent years, the province has synchronously implemented many solutions to promote tourism potential associated with revolutionary history.
One of them is Tuyen Quang, which continuously launches tourism products at the Tan Trao Special National Relic Site.
The tourist routes are built on the theme of “Journey to the Capital of the Liberated Zone,” combining sightseeing with cultural, culinary and community activities, helping visitors not only come to Tan Trao to sightsee, but also to relive the historical atmosphere and immerse themselves in the local culture.
Participating in the experience of the tourism product “Old War Zone - New Experience” at the Tan Trao National Special Relic Site, Associate Professor, Doctor Duong Van Sau, Hanoi University of Culture, highly appreciated the creativity, difference and quality. He commented that Tuyen Quang is on the right track when exploiting its potential, turning cultural and historical “resources” into highlights to attract tourists.
At the same time, at the Flamingo Heritage Onsen & Resort complex, Tan Trao commune (Tuyen Quang), a special exhibition space took place with the theme "Tan Trao - the birthplace of the Fatherland, 80 years of the origin of the Vietnamese revolution."

Mr. Huynh Kim Sang, General Manager of Flamingo Heritage Tan Trao Onsen & Resort, said that the exhibition space has 4 themed areas, introducing 80 paintings combined from more than 200 photos including: historical documents, photos of relics in the Viet Bac safe zone, images of agencies that originated in Tan Trao during the pre-uprising period and the resistance war against the French colonialists.
This space not only reminds us of history, but also vividly depicts the journey of maturity of the revolutionary government, from resistance to construction, from hardship to sustainable development. This is a prominent activity in the series of programs honoring historical values, evoking national pride, and at the same time contributing to promoting Tan Trao land - the capital of the Liberation Zone, the capital of the resistance war, as a destination that converges historical tourism, luxury resorts and indigenous cultural experiences.
In addition to exhibition activities, Flamingo Holdings also regularly organizes tours to Tan Trao National Special Relic Site, combined with a series of cultural and artistic activities imbued with the identity of the Northeast highlands such as: Then singing and Tinh lute performances on Pho Day River, reenacting traditional festivals... to bring emotional experiences to visitors.

In the coming time, to continue effectively exploiting the potential of historical tourism, Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Tuyen Quang province, said that the province will continue to build unique tourism products; further improve the quality of management to support tour and route connections; promote the role of the community in preserving cultural identity; step up promotion and investment activities, expand links with domestic and foreign tourism businesses and travel companies to Tuyen Quang.
At the same time, the province continues to upgrade transport infrastructure, invest in accommodation facilities, train local tour guides, promote communication and promote local images towards the goal of developing sustainable tourism associated with preserving historical and cultural values.
For the Tan Trao National Special Relic Site, Tuyen Quang continues to invest in renovating and embellishing relics, innovating organization methods, developing thematic tour guiding services, historical education for students and thematic groups of visitors, in order to build a journey back to the source that is both attractive and effective.
In 2025, Tan Trao Special National Relic Site aims to welcome over 750,000 visitors; by 2030, it strives to welcome about 2 million visitors, of which 35,000 are international visitors.../.
