This is a special cultural-tourism event to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2. The festival is a large-scale activity, the first to fully gather the cultural, culinary, tourism and artistic quintessence of both the eastern and western regions of the province, while introducing the socio-economic strengths and potential for developing unique coastal and highland tourism.
The opening ceremony will take place at 8:00 p.m. on August 29 at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square with an elaborate art program, harmoniously combining tradition and modernity, the ocean and the wilderness, to express the spirit of "Promoting the strength of solidarity - Maintaining identity - Stepping forward to the future".
One of the most anticipated programs is “Introducing the art of ocean tuna cuisine ”, where visitors will be able to taste 5,000 free meals every day, from August 29 to September 1 at the Children's Park.
Also featured are dishes combining tuna and highland specialties such as bamboo rice and tuna pancakes prepared by Gia Lai chefs. This is not only an opportunity to promote the province’s ocean tuna brand but also contributes to promoting trade and expanding the export market for this key product.
Along with the tuna culinary program, from August 29 to September 2, at the Children's Park, the Culinary Festival "Delicious Dishes from Basalt Land and the Sea", OCOP Product Exhibition, Craft Villages and Coffee and Gong Culture Festival will be held on a large scale with 94 booths of 33 units inside and outside the province.
The “Colors of the Sea” street festival taking place on the afternoon of August 31 was a brilliant highlight with the appearance of hundreds of artisans, artists performing carnival, bicycle circus, stilts, etc. on the 4.7km long coastal road. On September 1, the models continued to parade and interact with tourists.
In particular, the Light Festival and Drone Performance on the evening of September 1st vividly recreated the story of the great forest and the blue sea through lighting effects, stage techniques, combined with electronic music and performances by famous artists, creating an explosive night for young people.
Traditional art forms such as hát bội, bài chòi, traditional martial arts, gongs and traditional musical instruments will also be introduced on the evenings of August 31 and September 1 at Victory Square, affirming the sustainable cultural identity of the great land.
