[Video] Special release of stamp set to celebrate 80th anniversary of National Day September 2

On the afternoon of August 26, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Science and Technology coordinated with the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to hold a special issuance ceremony of a postage stamp set commemorating the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Attending the event were comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, comrade Nguyen Khac Dinh, Party Central Committee member, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, and representatives of leaders of central ministries and branches.

The stamp set includes 1 stamp and 1 block. The stamp depicts the image of President Ho Chi Minh - the founder of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam - in a modern graphic art style, both solemn and familiar. Uncle Ho's face is gentle, his eyes are bright with faith and aspiration for independence and freedom for the nation. The simple but delicate lines, combined with the dominant red and yellow colors of the National Flag, highlight the stature of the great leader, the immortal symbol of patriotism and aspiration for peace .

The block model shows the National Emblem of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the map of the Fatherland with full sovereignty over the sea and islands. The background of the block is the image of a bronze drum, a symbol of a thousand years of civilization, evoking the historical roots and depth of national culture.
