Warm and loving "Union Meals"

QTO - Recently, the program "Union Meal" has been organized simultaneously at many enterprises in the province. This activity has contributed to increasing attention and care for material and spiritual life; creating solidarity and love between the union organization and business owners for union members and workers.

In the atmosphere of the whole country competing to achieve many achievements to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels, recently, 600 union members and employees at Jinquan Vietnam Travel Equipment Company Limited (Nam Dong Ha Industrial Park) participated in the program "Union Meal".

Here, 600 meals, worth 70 thousand VND/meal, were served to employees, 50 thousand VND/meal higher than usual. The additional cost was supported by the Provincial Labor Federation (LDLĐ) with 20 thousand VND/meal, and the company's grassroots trade union (CĐCS) with 30 thousand VND/meal.

On this occasion, the Provincial Federation of Labor and the Company's Trade Union presented 20 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, to union members and employees in difficult circumstances. In the friendly, united and loving atmosphere of the program, 20 workers and employees at the company were admitted to the Vietnam Trade Union, thereby demonstrating the trust and attachment of the employees to the Trade Union.

Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Jinquan Vietnam Travel Equipment Company Limited Le Thi Minh Ngoc shared: “The program “Union Meal” has brought a warm and joyful atmosphere, an opportunity for union members, employees, the union executive board and business owners to talk and share difficulties in work and life, through which we grasp, have directions to support and resolve promptly, helping employees feel secure to work long-term.

From the beginning of August 2025 to now, the Provincial Federation of Labor has coordinated to organize the "Union Meal" program at 28 enterprises with 8,080 meals for union members and employees, each meal worth from 50-100 thousand VND. In particular, there are enterprises that organize meals with each meal worth up to 170 thousand VND.

Every year, during holidays and Tet, we also increase the value of meals for employees compared to normal days. In addition to adding new and more delicious dishes, employees also have extra desserts such as milk and fruit. This activity will continue to be maintained by the unit in the future.

Previously, nearly 1,000 union members and employees of S&D Quang Binh Company Limited also participated in the "Union Meal" program. At the program, each meal was worth 55,000 VND, more than double the daily meal.

Not only stopping at the nutritious and warm meal, on this occasion, the Provincial Labor Federation presented 20 gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances, each worth 500 thousand VND; The Trade Union of S&D Quang Binh Company Limited presented admission decisions to 15 union members.

At SCAVI Quang Tri Company Limited, the company's Trade Union coordinated with the business owner to organize the "Union Meal" program for 509 employees. The meal was worth twice as much as a normal meal, and the program also brought meaningful sharing when the Provincial Labor Federation gave gifts to support employees in difficult circumstances.

This program not only has material value but also acts as a bridge to connect and spread the spirit of mutual love, creating motivation for employees to feel secure and accompany businesses and trade unions on the journey of sustainable development.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Loan, a worker in the Sample Sewing Team of Jinquan Vietnam Travel Equipment Company Limited, said: “I would like to thank the trade unions and the company for organizing the very practical and thoughtful “Union Meal” program, which is concerned with improving the quality of shift meals for workers. We hope to continue to receive attention and participate in many meaningful programs like this.”

“Union Meals” not only help employees in enterprises improve the quality of their meals, but are also an opportunity for the Union to show its concern and attachment to its members and employees. This is also an opportunity to connect and share between employees - Unions - business leaders, contributing to building a friendly and harmonious working environment.
