300 domestic and international delegates cycled around Thien Quang Lake

Continuing the success of previous years, on the morning of November 17, in the space around Thien Quang Lake, the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations coordinated with the People's Committee of Hai Ba Trung District to organize the fourth Friendship Bicycle Journey for a Green Hanoi in 2024.

This is an annual friendship exchange activity that has been widely welcomed and paid attention to by friends at home and abroad. More than 300 delegates, including Ambassadors, Charge d'Affaires and many diplomatic officers at embassies, representatives of international organizations, foreign non-governmental organizations, Central and Hanoi delegates, Hanoi Cycling Club, Friendship Associations and member organizations of the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations, cycled together to respond to the program.

According to Chairman of the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations Nguyen Ngoc Ky, the government and people of the capital always strive to develop urban areas, protect the living environment, care forthe education of the young generation, and solve problems of urbanization and ecological environment...

"We hope that this activity will raise awareness among people living and working in Hanoi about preserving a green living environment, constantly taking action to protect the environment, and reducing air pollution. We hope that everyone will continue to maintain the habit of using environmentally friendly bicycles and exercising," said Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Ky.

Presented 10 bicycles to 10 students with difficult circumstances who are striving to excel in their studies in Hai Ba Trung district.

As one of the participants in the friendship bike ride, Mr. Saadi Salama, Ambassador of the State of Palestine, Head of the Diplomatic Corps in Vietnam, expressed his impression of the activities of the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations, including the Bicycle Journey for a Green Hanoi.

According to the Ambassador, cycling through the peaceful streets also contributes to promoting the image of the thousand-year-old capital and the elegant and hospitable people of Trang An to international friends.

At the program, the Organizing Committee presented 10 bicycles to 10 disadvantaged students who have excelled in their studies in Hai Ba Trung district. This is a meaningful gift, timely encouragement and motivation for the students to continue to firmly step on the journey of overcoming difficulties, studying well, and becoming useful citizens for society.
