Having taken root in Vo Nhai (Thai Nguyen) for decades, custard apple has become a “poverty escape tree” and “rich-making tree” for hundreds of households in this mountainous district. Vo Nhai custard apple is favored by consumers for its delicious taste and rich sweetness.
With 700 hectares of custard apples grown in the area, of which La Hien commune is the locality with the majority of custard apple growing area in Vo Nhai district, in recent years, the issue of trade promotion for this key agricultural product has always been of interest to Vo Nhai district and the province.
Next to the special map of Vietnam made from La Hien custard apples of Vo Nhai district, a giant custard apple flower vase of Lang Son province's agricultural sector also attracts visitors' attention. The lush green Thai custard apples, each as big as two handfuls, are still attached to the branches and placed in a brown ceramic vase.

Also at the market, Lang Son's custard apple specialty was displayed and introduced to visitors. In addition to the traditional custard apple variety, Lang Son's units and districts also introduced the Thai custard apple variety, with giant custard apples, some weighing over 1kg.
According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Tien, Director of the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development), the Agricultural Products and Regional Specialties Fair - Lang Son Province's Specialty Agricultural Products Promotion Week 2024 is an important trade promotion activity directed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in coordination with the Department of Quality, Processing and Market Development, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Lang Son province and related units.
More specifically, this year's fair is organized in conjunction with the Week of consulting, introducing and promoting the consumption of OCOP products, craft villages, safe agricultural and food products of Hanoi City in 2024, chaired by the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, to connect supply and demand between localities, enterprises, cooperatives with supermarkets, food stores, modern retail systems in major cities across the country according to the agricultural value chain with a complete, closed, transparent ecosystem from production, processing, preservation, trade and distribution to consumers.

At the same time, this activity also contributes to supporting localities, businesses, and cooperatives to develop the domestic market for agricultural, forestry, and fishery products in the context of the domestic and world economy in 2024 and the following years forecast to have many difficulties, with consumers tightening spending.
With a scale of over 120 booths and 1,000m2 of display area, this fair continues to be a place to introduce and sell regional agricultural specialties of cooperatives, enterprises, and farmers' associations from provinces and cities such as: Hanoi, Lang Son, Lao Cai, Son La, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Nam Dinh, Vinh Phuc, Quang Ninh, Thanh Hoa, Quang Ngai, Quang Nam, Quang Tri, ...

The products displayed and introduced at the Fair are agricultural, forestry and aquatic products produced in the direction of organic agriculture, ecological agriculture, products applying high technology in production and processing; traditional craft village products, OCOP products that have been ranked 3 to 5 stars according to the One Commune One Product Program.
In particular, participating in this fair, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Lang Son province organized a booth to promote and introduce Na Chi Lang - the best product of Lang from limestone cliffs and other agricultural specialties and OCOP products of Lang Son province.
In order to diversify trade promotion forms, open new markets, increase opportunities to reach customers and bring outstanding economic efficiency to localities, the highlight of the Fair is the livestream activity selling agricultural products and OCOP products on the TikTok platform and social networking platforms organized right at the Fair.
The Agricultural Products and Regional Specialties Fair - Lang Son Province's Specialty Agricultural Products Promotion Week 2024 and the Consulting, Introducing and Promoting Consumption of OCOP Products, Craft Villages, and Safe Agricultural and Food Products of Hanoi City 2024 will be held from August 15 to August 18 at the Economic and Trade Fair and Exhibition Area, No. 489, Hoang Quoc Viet Street, Hanoi.
