According to Times Of Israel, 7 Israeli soldiers were killed after their armored vehicle hit an explosive device in Gaza on June 24.
According to an initial investigation by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), a "Palestinian terrorist" planted a bomb in the car as they traveled in Khan Younis.

The explosion caused the car to catch fire and all those inside were killed.
The dead soldiers were identified as Lieutenant Matan Shai Yashinovski, 21, from Kfar Yona; Sergeant Ronel Ben-Moshe, 20, from Rehovot; Sergeant Niv Radia, 20, from Elyakhin; Sergeant Ronen Shapiro, 19, from Mazkeret Batya; Sergeant Shahar Manoav, 21, from Ashkelon; Sergeant Maayan Baruch Pearlstein, 20, from Eshhar; and Sergeant Alon Davidov, 21, from Kiryat Yam.
All served in the 605th Combat Engineer Battalion.
"Our soldiers fought heroically and died in their mission to protect the State of Israel and rescue the hostages," Defense Minister Israel Katz wrote on X network on June 25, sending his condolences to their families.
This brings the total number of Israeli deaths in the war in Gaza and military operations along the country's border with the Gaza Strip to 440.
