Flood discharge from Trung Son hydroelectric reservoir from 19:00 on July 2

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - Based on the inter-reservoir operation process in the Ma River basin and the forecast of the North Central Hydrometeorological Station, to proactively ensure the safety of people and property in the downstream area, the Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Prevention, Search and Rescue and Disaster Prevention of Thanh Hoa province agrees with the proposal of Trung Son Hydropower Company Limited on the operation of flood discharge at Trung Son Hydropower Reservoir from 7:00 p.m. on July 2, 2025.

Trung Son Hydropower Reservoir will operate flood discharge starting from 19:00 on July 2.

Accordingly, Trung Son Hydropower Company Limited operates the flood discharge of Trung Son Hydropower Reservoir (Trung Son Commune), the spillway discharge operation starts at 19:00 on July 2, 2025 with the discharge flow through the spillway being 608m3/s; the flow through the plant is 432m3/s, through the sand discharge culvert is 260m3/s; the total flow downstream is 1,300m3/s.

During the implementation process, the operation of the spillways must comply with regulations; regularly monitor and update information on weather, rain, floods; water level at Ly Nhan Hydrological Station; water level, flow to the lake, forecast the time when the flow to the lake reaches 1,800 m3/s and subsequent forecasts to operate in accordance with the actual situation.

During the flood discharge operation of Trung Son reservoir, Thanh Son, Ba Thuoc 1, Ba Thuoc 2, and Cam Thuy 1 reservoirs operate to regulate the flow rate not less than the flow rate to the reservoir.

To proactively ensure the safety of people and property in the downstream area, Trung Son Hydropower Company Limited informs dam owners, related units and people in the downstream area to proactively implement plans to ensure the safety of people, property and works during the time the reservoir releases floodwaters.
