Ham Thuan Bac is an agricultural district with a large area of 1,282 km². The majority of people live mainly on farming, raising livestock and some do business. Life is generally difficult. For a long time, women's unions at all levels in the district have made great efforts to mobilize and exploit capital sources from credit organizations such as the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development; the Bank for Social Policies, mobilizing idle capital from women's union members to help members have capital conditions to invest in production, change the structure of crops and livestock to gradually improve their lives. However, the capital mobilized by the Women's Union has not yet met the borrowing needs of women's union members.

At that time, the German Terre des Hommes Organization and the Provincial Women's Union joined hands to implement a project to improve living conditions for women and children in Ham Thuan Bac district. Up to now, 13 communes have implemented this project, with an initial capital of 3 billion VND. Right from the beginning of the loan cycle (2020 - 2025), the District Project Management Board has developed a plan to deploy to 3 communes and towns (Phu Long, Ham Duc, Ham Chinh) with 108 members participating in the loan. After 5 years, 365 new members have been developed, all members participating in the project have used the capital for the right purpose, and paid the principal and interest according to regulations.

It can be said that the project's activities meet the needs of women members, creating a habit of saving in spending; solidarity, mutual love, and neighborhood ties are increasingly closer, helping women have capital to invest in farming, livestock and small business to develop the family economy . At the same time, members also learn more experiences in farming, livestock and have more necessary knowledge to organize family life well.

In La Gi, the project capital "Improving living conditions for women and children" was deployed at the Women's Union of Tan Phuoc commune in 2020, with a total initial project capital of 420 million VND for 18 members. Of which, 16 women borrowed 320 million VND for production; 2 members borrowed 100 million VND for start-up - business. After 5 years of implementing the project, the capital was deployed well, promoted effectively, so at the end of the cycle, from gradually recovered capital and savings, 69 more members borrowed capital, with loans from 10 - 20 million VND per member.
