On the afternoon of July 16, the Vietnam Tourism Association (VITA) coordinated with the Vietnamese Embassy in Korea to organize the opening ceremony of the Vietnam Tourism Promotion Office in Seoul.
This is a strategic step to promote destinations and attract Korean tourists - one of the largest international markets for Vietnamese tourism.

The event was attended by Vietnamese Ambassador to Korea Vu Ho, Chairman of Vietnam Tourism Association Vu The Binh, leaders of the Korea Tourism Organization, major Korean tourism associations, and many businesses and media agencies of the two countries.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Vu The Binh expected the office to be an effective bridge between businesses of the two countries, supporting two-way tourism promotion and creating a breakthrough in the growth of Korean visitors to Vietnam.
Ambassador Vu Ho also emphasized the role of tourism in connecting the two nations, affirming that this is an important milestone in bilateral cooperation.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, VITA organized a B2B conference and a Roadshow program with the participation of more than 80 tourism businesses from both countries. Many cooperation agreements were signed, opening up prospects for deeper cooperation between Vietnamese and Korean travel associations and companies.
With advantages in landscape, culture and geographical distance, Vietnam is a favorite destination for Korean tourists.
Many famous destinations such as Hanoi , Da Nang, Nha Trang or Phu Quoc have become "familiar destinations" for Korean tourists, and have appeared regularly in TV shows, music videos or visits by Korean stars.
The establishment of a promotion office in Seoul is expected to contribute to promoting a stable and sustainable flow of visitors from Korea to Vietnam in the coming time.
