Within the framework of the ASEAN Tourism Forum 2024 (ATF 2024) in Laos, on the evening of January 26 in the capital Vientiane, the ASEAN Tourism Awards 2024 ceremony took place, in which Vietnam was honored to have 25 units receiving awards.

The ASEAN Tourism Awards is an annual event to honor localities and units with high-quality tourism products and services, contributing to the sustainable development of tourist destinations in the region.
This is an opportunity for tourism businesses and local tourism organizations to effectively market their business activities and contribute to promoting the national tourism brand.
At this year's event, Vietnam had 25 award-winning units in 6 categories including: ASEAN Green Hotel Award; ASEAN Clean Tourist City Award; ASEAN MICE Award for Meeting Room; ASEAN MICE Award for Exhibition Venue; ASEAN MICE Award for Event Venue and ASEAN Sustainable Tourism Award, theme Culinary Tourism.
By enriching tourism products such as eco-tourism, religious tourism, medical tourism, etc., the tourism industry not only creates more job opportunities for people, but also increases the value of products, as well as providing tourists with more choices.

In addition, this is also an opportunity for tourism businesses as well as local tourism organizations to effectively market their tourism activities, contributing to promoting the tourism brand of each country.
ATF 2024 will be held from January 22-27 in Vientiane with the theme "Responsible and Quality Tourism - For a Sustainable ASEAN Future".
This event aims to demonstrate the determination to improve the quality of tourism services and orient sustainable tourism development in the region, with the desire to create quality destinations, a tourism industry that acts responsibly towards the environment and nature, meeting the requirements of faster and more sustainable tourism recovery in the future.
Within the framework of ATF 2024, important activities took place including: The 59th ASEAN National Tourism Organizations Meeting; TRAVEX 2024 International Tourism Fair; The 44th ASEAN+3 National Tourism Organizations Meeting; The 27th ASEAN Tourism Ministers Meeting; The 11th ASEAN-India Tourism Ministers Meeting; The 23rd ASEAN+3 Tourism Ministers Meeting; The 3rd ASEAN-Russia Tourism Ministers Meeting; The ASEAN Tourism Awards Ceremony; The ASEAN Tourism Ministers Press Conference... and many other sideline activities.
