Campaign to build and repair 5 Charity Homes

(CT) - Since the beginning of the year, the Women's Union at all levels of Thot Not district has continued to strengthen activities to support female members in economic development, improving living standards, and ensuring social security.

Thuan Hung Ward Women's Union hands over the House of Love to poor women members with difficult housing circumstances in 2025.

The Association at all levels mobilized 443 Tet gifts for poor and disadvantaged female members; mobilized 236 gifts to support children of members who were recruited for military service. At the same time, coordinated to mobilize organizations and benefactors to support 424 gifts and scholarships for disadvantaged students and orphans, with a total amount of 183 million VND; mobilized support for the construction of 5 Charity Homes, with a total value of more than 410 million VND.

The Association has newly established a garment processing cooperative in Thanh Hoa ward, increasing the total number of garment processing cooperatives in the district to 4, with 43 women participating, with an income of 3-5 million VND/person/month. At the same time, the Association at all levels has strengthened coordination with functional agencies to support members and women in accessing loans managed by the Association. Currently, the district has 89 groups borrowing capital from the Social Policy Bank, with 4,476 households borrowing, with a total capital of over 200 billion VND, serving production, livestock farming, small trading, and garden renovation.
