Amidst the hustle and bustle of the STEM Science and Technology Festival (organized by the Department of Education and Training of Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City on December 7), Phuc Nguyen - a second grade student at Hung Vuong Primary School - remained calm and persistent in playing the game "Escape from the Maze".

Nguyen stood there playing for a long time, determined to conquer the game despite the sweat pouring down his face. "I have to escape this maze before I can play another game," Nguyen affirmed.

The game "Escape the Maze" is actually just a square paper frame made of cardboard and straws, designed quite simply. Players will use marbles to roll to escape the tangled maze. This is the product of students of Pham Van Hai Primary School in STEM lessons at school.

Meanwhile, students from secondary schools brought to the festival solid scientific and technical research products. Ngoc Tram and Bao Tran - students from Ngo Quyen Secondary School - presented on the topic "Designing activities to help improve the relationship between parents and children of 9th grade students".

In addition, secondary school students in Tan Binh also have many other practical projects such as Research on manufacturing floor cleaner and paper from by-products of the lemongrass essential oil extraction process; Overthinking - problems and solutions...

Mr. Phan Van Quang - Head of the Department of Education and Training of Tan Binh District - said: "The Science and Technology - STEM Festival not only creates opportunities for primary and secondary school students to experience games. This year, we require all primary schools in the area to display and introduce students' products. From STEM lessons in school, students apply knowledge and make products.

At primary school, everything is still in its infancy, but the Department of Education and Training encourages students to make products from those initial ideas. It is the love of science and technology from primary school that will nurture students, so that they can start researching larger-scale topics at the next levels of education."
