According to THX, the stamp set is expected to be released on January 19, including 10 stamps with images of dragons riding clouds. Each stamp has a face value of 1.5 USD. According to UNPA, the stamp set is an artwork by Chinese designer Tiger Pan. In 2021, UNPA completed the stamp sets of 12 zodiac animals according to the lunar calendar.

During its final session of 2023, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution recognizing Lunar New Year as an annual United Nations public holiday for the first time.

The resolution emphasizes that Lunar New Year is a public holiday in many member states, and encourages UN agencies not to hold meetings on the first day of the Lunar New Year. This is a recognition by the international community of traditional East Asian culture, the result of a coordinated campaign at the United Nations, in which Vietnam was one of 12 countries that participated in a joint letter sent to UN leaders in August 2023 and actively promoted this.
