“A Russian submarine has sunk to the bottom of the Black Sea,” the Ukrainian Defense Ministry said in a post on X, naming the submarine as the attack submarine B-237 Rostov-on-Don.

The Ukrainian military general staff said the attack on the Crimean port of Sevastopol also significantly damaged four launchers of the S-400 "Triumf" air defense system. Russia has not yet responded to the attack on Sevastopol.

In other overnight attacks, the Ukrainian military said it struck an ammunition depot at Morozovsk airport where Russian troops store guided bombs and other equipment, and several oil depots and fuel storage facilities.

"The attack on Russian airports is proportionate. And we need this common solution with our allies - a security solution," Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote on the Telegram messaging app.

The Ukrainian president has repeatedly called on Western allies to allow the use of their weapons for long-range strikes on Russia, in addition to attacking military targets near the border.

He said on Saturday that Russian forces had used more than 600 guided bombs to attack Ukraine in the past week.

According to the Ukrainian military report, the attack on oil depots and fuel and lubricant storage facilities in the Belgorod, Kursk and Rostov regions set fire to at least two oil tanks.

In Russia, local officials reported that tanks at a fuel depot in the Kamensky district of the Rostov region caught fire after being hit by a drone.

The governor of the Belgorod region also said that a drone launched by Ukraine caused a fire at an oil depot there, adding that the fire had been extinguished and no one was injured.

This year, Ukraine has significantly stepped up its use of long-range drones to attack Russian oil facilities, aiming to destroy Moscow’s fuel supply sites and economy in the 29-month conflict between the two countries.
