Oleg Soskin, a former adviser to Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma, said on YouTube that Kiev has lost control over large territories in Donbass.

Ugledar is located about 60-70km southwest of Donetsk. The city is an important logistics hub in Donetsk and remains under Kiev control to this day. Control of Ugledar, which sits at the crossroads between the eastern and southern fronts, is important as it would facilitate Russia’s advance as it attempts to penetrate deeper behind Ukraine’s defenses.
