The Provincial People's Committee met to approve the plan to organize "Ninh Thuan Culture and Tourism Day in Can Tho" in 2023

On October 25, Comrade Nguyen Long Bien, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to approve the plan to organize " Ninh Thuan Culture and Tourism Day in Can Tho" in 2023. Attending were leaders of relevant departments, branches and units.

According to the plan, "Ninh Thuan Culture and Tourism Day in Can Tho" in 2023 will be held from November 3 to November 5, 2023 (on the occasion of Can Tho City organizing activities to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Can Tho City under the Central Government), at the Uncle Ho Monument Area, Ninh Kieu walking street, Tan An ward, Ninh Kieu district, Can Tho City. In addition to art performances, introducing traditional culture and folk arts of ethnic groups in Ninh Thuan province; guiding tourists to experience and practice using musical instruments, performing folk arts...; "Ninh Thuan Culture and Tourism Day in Can Tho" also organizes 24 booths to display and introduce traditional handicraft products such as: Displaying products and performing pottery art of Cham people in Bau Truc village, brocade weaving of Cham people in My Nghiep village, unique musical instruments of Ninh Thuan; Promote Ninh Thuan tourism through showing video clips introducing the potential, tourism strengths, key tourism projects of the province, documents introducing and promoting attractive tourism products (guidelines, maps, brochures, tourism programs...); introduce typical culinary dishes; introduce OCOP products, special products of the province. At the same time, display beautiful photos of tourism, cultural heritage, and scenic spots of the province to Can Tho people and tourists.

Concluding the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to preside over and coordinate in developing the content and detailed program of activities at the event; assigning units under the industry and related units to coordinate in implementing the contents to ensure progress and efficiency; coordinating with the Provincial People's Committee Office, the Department of Information and Communications, relevant agencies and units to advise on reception, propaganda and logistics to serve the event; coordinating with the Provincial People's Committee Office to advise on the list, composition of delegates, invitations to attend the opening ceremony of the event; advising and requesting the People's Committee of Can Tho City to direct functional agencies in Can Tho to support and coordinate in organizing the event.
