Multidimensional poverty rate reduced to 1.32%

In 2024, Phu Ninh district focused on synchronously implementing programs and solutions to promote the implementation of sustainable poverty reduction goals, through solving labor, employment, and supporting vocational training for workers.

The program of receiving and delivering hybrid Sind heifers for breeding under Project 2 - National target program on sustainable poverty reduction for the period 2021-2025 has brought positive results.

The District People's Committee has directed relevant units and localities to organize the acceptance of forms to collect information about workers and survey and forecast the employment and vocational training needs of workers from poor households, near-poor households and newly escaped poverty households in 17 communes and towns; survey, review and disburse capital for beneficiaries and households eligible for the national target program on sustainable poverty reduction.

In 2024, 3.36 billion VND was disbursed; of which Project 2: Support for breeding hybrid Sind heifers of community production groups in Phu Loc, Ha Giap, Binh Phu, Phu My, Tien Phu, Tram Than, Phu Nham, Phu Ninh communes, total amount of 2.95 billion VND; Sub-project 3 - Project 4 on Supporting sustainable employment is 191 million; Project 7 on Capacity building and program monitoring and evaluation is 122.5 million, ..

With many solutions actively implemented in 2024, the district's multidimensional poverty rate will decrease to 1.32% (the plan is 1.42%), down 0.12% compared to 2023; the multidimensional near-poor rate will be 1.29% (the plan is 1.32%), down 0.05% compared to 2023.
