Meeting and performance to celebrate National Day and Vietnam Music Day

At the Military Region 9 Cultural House, on the afternoon of August 31, 2025, the Music Association and the Vietnam Musicians Association of Can Tho City held a meeting and performed to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution, National Day September 2; and to celebrate Vietnam Music Day (September 3, 2014 - September 3, 2025).

Attending the meeting were representatives of the Political Department of Military Region 9, the Art Troupe of Military Region 9, the Cultural House of Military Region 9, representatives of the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Can Tho City, representatives of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Musicians Association, leaders and members of the Can Tho City Music Association, and the Vietnam Musicians Association of Can Tho City after merging with Soc Trang and Hau Giang.

At the event, singers, actors and musicians from the Military Region 9 Art Troupe, Can Tho City Cultural Center, TH Music Training Center, RESO MUSIC Center and Ninh Kieu Children's Cultural House performed many compositions about the Fatherland to celebrate the 80th National Day and return to the homeland of Can Tho on a new journey, such as "The Fatherland Calls My Name" (composed by Meritorious Artist, musician Dinh Trung Can), "The Fatherland's Words Resound Forever in the Heart" (musician The Long), "Can Tho, the City of the Delta" (musician Nguyen Vinh Phuc ), "Can Tho's Shape" (Meritorious Artist Tuan Anh), "Can Tho, the City of Aspiration" (composed by Nguyen Trung Hau), "Can Tho, My Homeland" (musician Nguyen Hay), "Can Tho, the City of Love" (musician Tran Thanh Thuy), "The Common River" (musician Nguyen Dung), "Returning to Soc Trang, My Homeland" (composed by Luc Thanh Hiep)...

Music activities in Can Tho City have contributed many outstanding achievements to the music of the Mekong Delta; especially recently, many new factors and young talents have been recognized through music competitions in the city and nationwide.

At the meeting, the Executive Committee of the Can Tho City Music Association provided more information about its activities from February to present and its expected activities in the fourth quarter of 2025. On this occasion, the Executive Committee of the Association admitted 2 honorary members according to the Association's charter, bringing the total number of members of the Can Tho City Music Association to 95 members.
