Japanese Yen exchange rate continues to weaken, hitting 34-year low
Today, the Japanese Yen exchange rate hit a 34-year low, while the black market Yen exchange rate reversed and increased slightly.
Japanese Yen exchange rates surveyed on the morning of March 28 at specific banks are as follows:
At Vietcombank , the buying rate is 158.29 VND/JPY and the selling rate is 167.54 VND/JPY, down 0.55 VND on the buying side and down 0.58 VND on the selling side.
At Vietinbank , the Yen exchange rate increased by 0.48 VND in both buying and selling directions, equivalent to 159.72 VND/JPY and 169.42 VND/JPY.
At Eximbank, the buying and selling prices increased by 0.17 VND, respectively at 161.28 VND/JPY and 165.98 VND/JPY.
At Techcombank , the Japanese Yen exchange rate decreased by 0.04 VND at buying and decreased by 0.05 VND at selling with prices of 157.09 VND/JPY and 169.5 VND/JPY respectively.
At Sacombank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate increased by 0.39 VND in buying and increased by 0.36 VND in selling, corresponding to the prices of 162.05 VND/JPY and 167.06 VND/JPY.
According to the survey, today Sacombank is the bank with the highest buying rate of Japanese Yen and Eximbank is the bank with the lowest selling rate among the banks.
USD rises for second consecutive session
Today, VCB USD continued to be at parity, while the world USD increased for the second consecutive session, firmly above 104 points.
The central VND/USD exchange rate announced by the State Bank today is adjusted to 23,998 VND/USD, up 4 VND compared to the trading session on March 27.
Currently, the exchange rate allowed for trading by commercial banks ranges from 23,400 - 25,147 VND/USD. The US Dollar exchange rate has also been brought to the buying and selling range by the State Bank of Vietnam from 23,400 to 25,147 VND/USD.
The USD exchange rate at banks and domestic foreign exchange rates this morning recorded a series of upward adjustments at banks. Specifically, Vietcombank has a buying price of 24,580 and a selling price of 24,950, an increase of 20 VND compared to the trading session on March 27. The current USD buying and selling prices are in the range of 23,400 - 25,300 VND/USD.
In the world market, the Dollar Index (DXY), measuring the USD against 6 major currencies (EUR, JPY, GBP, CAD, SEK, CHF), stopped at 104.34 points - up 0.05% compared to trading on March 27.
Domestic and world gold prices increase simultaneously
Today, SJC gold continued to increase by nearly 1 million VND per tael, world gold continued to increase, approaching the historical peak of 2,200 USD/ounce.

Today's 9999 gold price is listed by DOJI at 78.80 million VND/tael for buying and 80.80 million VND/tael for selling.
SJC gold price at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited is also traded by the enterprise at 78.90 - 80.80 million VND/tael (buy - sell). Meanwhile, at Bao Tin Manh Hai, it is being traded at 78.90 - 81.00 million VND/tael (buy - sell).
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 5:00 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was at 2,197.74 USD/ounce, a difference of 17.14 USD/ounce compared to yesterday's gold price. Converted according to the current exchange rate at Vietcombank, the world gold price is about 64.903 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is still 13.997 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.
Domestic coffee prices hit new peak
Domestic coffee prices were updated at 5:24 a.m. on March 28, increasing to VND1,100/kg and are at a very high level, considered "the highest ever". Currently, the average purchase price in the Central Highlands provinces is VND98,000/kg, the highest purchase price in Dak Nong province is VND98,100/kg.
Specifically, coffee was purchased in Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces at 98,000 VND/kg; In Dak Nong province, coffee was purchased at the highest price of 98,100 VND/kg.
Green coffee beans (coffee beans, fresh coffee beans) in Lam Dong province in districts such as Bao Loc, Di Linh, Lam Ha are purchased at 97,700 VND/kg.
In Cu M'gar district, Dak Lak province, coffee is purchased at about 97,900 VND/kg, while in Ea H'leo district, Buon Ho town, it is purchased at the same price of 98,000 VND/kg.
