Thunderstorm warning

According to the forecast of Lao Cai Province's Hydrometeorological Station, there will be heavy rain in the province in the next few hours.

Through monitoring weather radar images, it shows that the convective cloud area is developing, causing showers and thunderstorms, locally moderate rain, heavy rain for the communes: Khanh Hoa , Phuc Loi, Dong Cuong, Mau A, Tan Hop, Phong Du Ha, Khao Mang, Lao Chai, Che Tao, Van Chan; the convective cloud area is from Southeast to Northwest, traveling about 10 - 20 km/h per hour.

In the next few hours, this convective cloud area will continue to cause showers and thunderstorms, locally moderate to heavy rain for the above communes, then thunderstorms will move and affect the following wards/communes: Mo Vang, Hung Khanh, Xuan Ai, Son Luong, Mau A, Luc Yen, Lam Thuong, Phuc Khanh, Bao Yen, Lam Giang, Chieng Ken, Hanh Phuc, Son Luong, Phu Luong, Tu Le, Mu Cang Chai, Minh Luong, Nam Xe, Duong Quy, Van Ban and neighboring wards/communes.

During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong winds that can break trees, damage houses, traffic works and infrastructure, endangering human lives.
