Cai Lay Town: Meeting to celebrate 100 years of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day

Attending the meeting were comrade Phan Phung Phu, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the Town Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Cai Lay Town; leaders of the People's Committee of Cai Lay Town, together with leaders, reporters, journalists working at press agencies in and outside the province, and cadres, civil servants, and public employees currently working and retired, carrying out information and propaganda work in the area.

At the meeting, the delegates reviewed the 100-year tradition of Vietnam Revolutionary Press. At the same time, they reviewed the journey of more than 45 years of formation and development of information and propaganda activities in Cai Lay. Since the late 1980s, especially after the country's renovation in 1986, information and propaganda activities in Cai Lay have gradually improved, with the emergence of a team of enthusiastic collaborators, meeting the requirements of the immediate tasks, including cultural - information officers, propaganda officers, teachers, etc.

By the end of 2007, Cai Lay District Radio Station had its headquarters upgraded and the province invested in equipping it with some modern equipment, creating favorable conditions for the staff, reporters and technicians to operate. In 2014, when the administrative boundaries were separated to establish Cai Lay Town and Cai Lay District, the town's information and communication work received more attention, basically meeting the requirements of the tasks in the digital age; the development of the locality.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Secretary of the Town Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Cai Lay Town Tran Van Thuc affirmed that, along with the development of the town, news agencies, newspapers, journalists in the province in general, reporters working in the town in particular, together with the locality, have promptly propagated the Party's policies and the State's laws to the people. At the same time, they also conveyed information about the potential, advantages, economic development of the town and the local political tasks, creating consensus in the socio-economic development process of the town. Comrade Tran Van Thuc expressed his deep gratitude to generations of cadres, reporters, editors, technicians, and collaborators working in journalism and broadcasting in the area.
