Not only stopping at the Ben Thanh - Tham Luong section, the Prime Minister has assigned Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai to study the construction plan of Metro Line 2 extending the Ben Thanh - Thu Thiem section and the Thu Thiem - Long Thanh Airport urban railway line.

In the context that Ho Chi Minh City is in the process of building the International Financial Center in the Thu Thiem New Urban Area and Long Thanh International Airport is also preparing to be put into operation, it is considered urgent to urgently complete related procedures so that the projects can be implemented soon.

During the investment project preparation process, relevant parties will make appropriate adjustments. Regarding construction and installation work - domestic contractors have basically met the capacity, many units can operate equipment with a localization rate of about 70 - 80% in the next 10 years, the remaining issue is to arrange sufficient capital and site clearance, which needs to be implemented immediately when the route is determined so that the project can be implemented quickly and effectively.
