The 2025 Women's U21 Volleyball World Cup will take place in Indonesia from August 7 to 17, with 24 teams divided into 4 groups. The teams will compete in a round robin format to determine the top 4 teams from each group to enter the round of 16.
At the tournament, the Vietnam U21 women's team is in group A with Indonesia, Argentina, Serbia, Puerto Rico and Canada.
After defeating host Indonesia 3-0 and Serbian U21 women's team 3-1, Vietnam U21 women's team confidently entered the third match against Canada U21 women's team on the afternoon of August 9.
That confidence helped Dang Thi Hong and her teammates get off to a good start and win 25-19 in set 1.
In set 2, the two teams played a tug of war. U21 Vietnam had a chance to end the set but could not take advantage and finally let the opponent win 26-24.
But the Vietnamese girls immediately responded with a 25-19 victory in set 3.
In set 4, U21 Vietnam had an extremely good start when they led their opponent by… 13-0.
This huge advantage helped coach Nguyen Trong Linh's students play comfortably in the following time and win 25-5.
This is also the set won with the biggest difference since the beginning of the tournament.
Defeating Canada's U21 women's team 3-1 (25-19, 24-26, 25-19, 25-5), Vietnam's U21 women's team had their third consecutive victory at the tournament.
