Ho Chi Minh City youth take the lead in the fight against drugs and e-cigarettes

On June 13, Ho Chi Minh City Police coordinated with the City Youth Union and the Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam Student Association to organize the festival "Youth of Uncle Ho's City - Say no to drugs and electronic cigarettes".

The program aims to raise awareness and equip students with knowledge about the reality of drugs and electronic cigarettes gradually infiltrating the school environment, directly threatening the health and future of the young generation. This is also an opportunity to arouse and promote the pioneering role and sense of responsibility of the city's youth in propaganda and action for a safe, healthy, drug-free school and social environment.

Speaking at the program, Colonel Nguyen Dinh Duong, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Police Department, affirmed that this is an important highlight in the continuous efforts of the entire political system and society, especially the Ho Chi Minh City Police force, the City Youth Union, and the Ho Chi Minh City Student Association, in the work of preventing and combating drugs, protecting the future generations of the country.

Colonel Nguyen Dinh Duong also emphasized that the drug threat is always a big challenge to the sustainable development of society and the safety of each individual. This fight requires perseverance and continuous efforts from all of us. The police force always identifies this as one of the key tasks, deploying many solutions to fight and prevent it.

At the festival, delegates and students enjoyed the skit "Lost Moment"; listened to Ho Chi Minh City Police officers and a doctor of school psychology talk at the seminar "Awakening Gen Z - Say no to drugs and social evils"; and a mock trial to try drug-related law violations.
