New poster and trailer released, the movie Bright Lights sets an early release date

After withdrawing from the Tet film race, producer Mega GS has just announced that Bright Lights - a film by director Hoang Tuan Cuong will return to theaters from 6pm on March 20.

The new poster of the movie Bright Lights has a completely different atmosphere as the story focuses on the main couple played by Bach Cong Khanh and Truc May. The two exchange affectionate and intimate gestures and looks.

Behind, the images and humorous expressions of Meritorious Artist Huu Chau, actors Le Phuong and Cao Minh Dat also brought a lot of curiosity to the audience. Especially the appearance of Le Phuong and Cao Minh Dat with the characteristics of the 1990s made the audience even more excited.

Meanwhile, the image of the stage where the audience crowded to buy tickets and the bright lights reminded people of the golden age of the opera troupes.

But they still have a wholehearted love for the troupe, because as Bach Cong Khanh's character shared: You consider this a troupe, but I consider it my home, how can I leave it.

The laughter in the troupe was also very lively with the charming comedy of the "coffin shop owner" played by Meritorious Artist Kim Tu Long in the "flirting" scene with actress Le Phuong.

People's Artist Hong Van's character also had a "terrifying" appearance with the act of insisting on "sleeping with" the main character Vu Lam (Cao Minh Dat) - who seemed to be pushed into a corner, not knowing where to hide.

Although the two characters of artist Bach Long and Tuan Dung only appeared in one scene, they had a dialogue that made the audience "laugh silently".

According to the film crew, in order to have emotional footage for the audience, the cast has been very dedicated to their roles from the rehearsal stage. Notably, most of the actors performed the singing part themselves, in addition to acting.

In an underwater scene, artist Chi Tam, despite his old age, still enthusiastically jumped in and swam without a single complaint. Meritorious Artist Huu Chau also hid his fear of water to film the entire scene.

As a modern music singer, actor Bach Cong Khanh accepts the challenge of singing traditional opera or transforming into many characters in famous cai luong excerpts.

The first time she entered the film industry with a heavy leading role, actress Truc May thought about giving up, but she was determined to practice until she knew the role and became fluent. She revealed that in the film, there was a scene where she was slapped by Meritorious Artist Huu Chau and she accepted the slap 5 times.

Bright Lights will officially return to theaters nationwide from March 22. The film will have early screenings from 6 p.m. on March 20 and all day on March 21.

Previously, the film was initially released to audiences on the first day of Tet (February 10) but was withdrawn after only 2 days of screening with the reason "hoping that the film will have the opportunity to reach a wider audience at a more appropriate time".

This is also the next film project of director Hoang Tuan Cuong after two Tet films, Nha Khong Ban (2022) and Vong Nhi (2023).
