The “One Commune One Product” (OCOP) program has been playing a key role in affirming the value of rural products, helping products from all over the country not only get closer to domestic consumers but also reach out to international markets. OCOP products not only have cultural and traditional characteristics but also meet high quality standards, suitable for the needs of domestic and international consumers.
Deputy Minister Phan Thi Thang emphasized that in order to continue implementing Decision 919/QD-TTg dated August 1, 2022 of the Prime Minister approving the One Commune One Product Program and promoting economic development in line with the goals and orientations of the Goods Import-Export Strategy to 2030 according to Decision No. 493/QD-TTg dated April 19, 2022 of the Prime Minister, implementing trade promotion activities to support OCOP entities to connect with international partners and enterprises to promote exports is very necessary.
The exhibition of OCOP export products - VIETNAM OCOPEX is an opportunity for Vietnamese enterprises, cooperatives, and OCOP entities to introduce and promote their products, seek partners, and develop markets not only domestically but also internationally through opportunities to connect, exchange, and cooperate directly with trade promotion organizations, businesses, and foreign importers. At the same time, OCOP entities also have the opportunity to exchange and learn about the strict requirements of the world market and study the possibility of expanding export scale.

This helps foreign representative agencies have the opportunity to access information about the market and unique OCOP products of localities, creating conditions for direct and visual connection with OCOP subjects when necessary.
According to the Director of the Trade Promotion Agency, participating in the 2024 OCOP Export Products Exhibition will open up opportunities for OCOP entities to approach foreign enterprises, representative agencies, and foreign trade promotion organizations in Vietnam. In addition, "meeting experts with experience in the field of import and export at the exhibition will support OCOP entities in renewing production thinking and organizing production in a systematic and sustainable manner" - said the Director of the Trade Promotion Agency.
