Duong Tra Giang (born in 2005) - a student majoring in Marketing and Communication, School of Business Administration ( Hanoi National University) excellently won the crown of Miss Vietnam Student 2024.
From the first day of participating in the contest, the female Gen Z student left many impressions thanks to her lovely, sweet beauty and body measurements that met the golden ratio of 86-60-91 cm.
At the time of registering for the Miss Student Vietnam contest (February 2024), Tra Giang was 1m70 tall, weighed more than 60 kg and was commented as not meeting the beauty queen standards. This statement became the motivation for the Gen Z female student to be determined to lose weight. It is known that by the preliminary round, Tra Giang had reduced to 50 kg.
“Every day I go to the gym, jog, catwalk and do cardio for 30 minutes to an hour. Regarding diet, when I lost weight from 62 kg to 57 kg, I still ate normally but in smaller quantities. From 57 kg down, every day I only ate vermicelli for breakfast to maintain energy and at 4 pm I ate another slice of bread and a little meat,” the new Miss Student Vietnam shared about her strict weight loss diet.
Many people commented that the beauty queen's facial features resemble actress Jun Vu and the character Ha Lan in the movie Mat Biec. She also often renews herself with many different fashion styles.
Tra Giang came to the Miss Student Vietnam contest quite by chance, through the introduction of a friend. She determined that her purpose in coming to the contest was to pursue a career as an MC and see if she had a talent for the entertainment industry.
“My parents always wanted me to participate in beauty pageants, but when they found out that their daughter was participating in a large-scale contest, they advised me to stop because they were afraid that it would be too hard for her. However, I still decided to go all the way and did not want to give up halfway,” the new beauty queen confided.
Previously, the beauty queen was forced to postpone her military training period because the time Tra Giang participated in the competition coincided with her military training period at school. The female student said that postponing her military training made her regretful, but there will still be many opportunities to participate in the future.
“My friends who went to military school all regretted that I did not join them. At that time, I thought that deciding to join the military course would make me regret stopping too early in the competition. Who knows, if I continued to join, I would be in the top,” she said.
Tra Giang revealed that she really loves MC Thanh Thanh Huyen and idolizes runner-up Phuong Nga. In the future, the female student hopes to build an image and career like her seniors.
