From July 1: Provincial rural and agricultural census in 2025

BTO-On the morning of June 10, at the Provincial Statistics Office, the Steering Committee for the 2025 Rural and Agricultural Census organized a training conference on rural and agricultural census techniques for more than 80 delegates who are members of the Steering Committee, standing teams assisting the Steering Committee, provincial and district supervisors and representatives of the district Steering Committee.

Mr. Pham Quoc Hung - Head of the Provincial Statistics Office, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee attended and spoke at the conference.

The 2025 Rural and Agricultural Census is conducted under Decision No. 484 dated June 7, 2024 of the Prime Minister. This is one of the three largest statistical censuses nationwide, held every 10 years, this year being the 6th.

According to the plan, the Census will officially collect information for 30 days, starting from July 1, 2025 to July 30, 2025. Preliminary results are expected to be announced in December 2025 and official results will be announced in March 2026.

Delegates attending the training

During the 3 days (from June 10-12), delegates will be introduced to the main contents of the plan to organize and implement the 2025 rural and agricultural census. Provide basic knowledge and skills on the training process; inspection and monitoring process; main content and how to fill out the survey forms; how to use electronic software on mobile devices to serve field surveys, the census management website. At the same time, focus on discussing and clarifying the contents of the survey forms; directly practice the software and management website of the Census.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Pham Quoc Hung said: This 2025 Census is of special importance, taking place in the context of the agricultural sector and rural areas of the whole country, including Binh Thuan , are strongly restructuring, towards sustainable development, high technology application and international integration. The results of this Census will be a very important source of information, a solid practical basis for the province to correctly assess the current state of agriculture, the overall picture of the lives of farmers and fishermen in the province. From there, build and adjust effective socio-economic development policies; call for and attract investment in the fields of high-tech agriculture, processing industry, helping to solve the problem of output for agricultural products and create more jobs for rural workers.

Through the conference, knowledge dissemination helps delegates exchange, resolve problems, and unify understanding and practices across the province.
