The program was organized by a group of students from the Faculty of International Relations and Communication, with the participation of many students and Master Do Thi Nam Phuong - Head of the Communication Center, University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City.
Opening the talk show, Master Nam Phuong suggested with the question: "Why is medical communication a golden land waiting to be explored?". Many answers from students were that health is the biggest concern of modern society. Not only conveying information, medical communication is also a bridge between patients and doctors, between professional knowledge, human emotions and trust that needs to be built.

In the era of digitalization and strong social media development, medical communicators are forced to constantly update and renew their thinking every day, because just one beat behind, false information can spread far and directly affect health. Communication campaigns during the Covid-19 pandemic, the national vaccination program, or communication campaigns for organ transplantation, chronic disease prevention, etc. are clear evidence of the value of medical communication in guiding community awareness and behavior.
Master Nam Phuong said that medical communication is a field that includes many branches such as: Healtheducation communication, internal hospital communication, crisis management, brand communication, social media communication... The special thing about this profession is the accuracy, honesty, humanity and always taking the patient as the center. The communication target is not only the patient and the public but also includes the team of doctors - who are both inspirational figures, teammates and a source of living data for community communication campaigns. Making clips for doctors is not the same as making clips for celebrities. Writing an inspirational article for patients also requires much more sophistication.
From practical experience, Master Nam Phuong also shared the core skills that students need to have if they want to pursue this field. These are the ability to write well, tell stories based on medical data; the ability to produce digital content ( videos , infographics...) with depth and ethical standards; basic knowledge of medicine; understanding of medical communication law; especially the ability to work with doctors - from discovering topics and characters to the ability to persuade and "translate" professional language into stories that reach the community. In medical communication, every detail - every word, every image, every letter can impact the psychology and decisions of patients.
Minh Thu, a student at the Faculty of International Relations and Communication at HUFLIT, shared after the program: "For me, the topic of this talk show is really new. Before joining the program, I thought that medical communication would be very dry. But unexpectedly, that seemingly dry thing is the 'golden material' for extremely meaningful stories. When humane and emotional elements are combined with creative communication thinking, the storytelling not only makes an impression but also touches the heart."
