Military helicopters successfully rescue people isolated by floods in Son La

(QNgTV)- Due to heavy rain that lasted for a long time on the night of July 31 and the morning of August 1, along with many affected localities, widespread flooding occurred in Anh Trung village, Muong Hung commune, isolating 8 people.

On the evening of August 1, the Northern Helicopter Company (Army Corps 18, Ministry of National Defense ) said that after receiving orders from superiors to use helicopters to rescue people isolated and stranded due to floods in Muong Hung commune, Son La province, a flight crew of this unit successfully rescued all 8 isolated people, including 7 adults and 1 child.

Specifically, at 3:54 p.m. on August 1, the flight took off from Gia Lam airport on EC 155-B1 helicopter with registration number VN-8624. At around 4:50 p.m., the flight crew reached the scene. With nearly 50 urgent minutes, the flight crew rescued all 8 people isolated by the flood.

Despite the flight in complex weather conditions, the flight crew made efforts to control the helicopter to a safe landing point.
