From the experience shared by the Thai people about the "sufficient economic philosophy", Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan said that the Thai people are successful thanks to the following core factors:

Community: Thai people prioritize agricultural production to meet domestic consumption needs first, and then move towards the market. This method helps farmers minimize the impact of market fluctuations and natural disasters. However, Thai people do not ignore the commercialization of agricultural products.

They focus on transforming ordinary agricultural products into high-value commodities through effective preservation, processing and marketing techniques. They build agricultural product brands based on outstanding characteristics, unique origins and production methods, increasing the value and attractiveness of the products in the market.

Development based on linkage and cooperation: The key to Thai success in increasing the added value of agricultural products lies in developing rural professional communities. They focus on creating linkage and cooperation among community members, sharing benefits and optimizing resources.

The concept of “Leaving no one behind” is not just a slogan but a real operating principle, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to develop and contribute to common prosperity.

Thanks to the "sufficiency economy philosophy", the Thai people have built a sustainable agricultural and rural development system that helps improve the quality of life, reduce poverty and protect the environment, while creating an economy that is resilient to fluctuations and challenges.

The Minister believes that in order to spread the "philosophy of sufficiency economy", Vietnamese farmers need to have the mindset of "competition but not jealousy".

Minister Le Minh Hoan said that everyone must "compete fairly" and at the same time, promote cooperation and association, mobilize support from professional social organizations to support farmers and farms to develop value chains and form a service economy.
