The main discussion sessions at the Forum focused on four groups of content: Application of AI and new technology; startups associated with green economy and sustainable development; adaptation to global change; and cultural and educational development.

Proposing technology solutions and developing digital resources

During the discussion session on “Application of AI and new technology to improve labor productivity”, delegates received many order proposals from large enterprises such as CMC Technology Group, Vingroup and Data Association. These proposals focused on AI research and chip design, areas that are lacking high-quality human resources.

Some specific solutions proposed include: applying AI to support examination of simple dermatological diseases for people in remote areas; developing a system to improve air quality in Hanoi; and building a platform connecting "3 houses" (State, Enterprises and Scientists).

In addition, delegates also proposed cooperation in developing domestic 3D cameras, establishing a laboratory for researching unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and participating in cooperation in research, training, and technology transfer.

Dr. Le Duy Tan (International University, Ho Chi Minh National University) emphasized the importance of promoting links between universities and businesses in research and application of new technologies.

Green startups and sustainable development

The discussion session on "Innovative startups associated with green economic development and sustainable development" recorded many important opinions.

Dr. Pham Huy Hieu (VinUni University) noted the need to establish a sustainable green value framework and apply national branding strategies based on indigenous culture, local knowledge and sustainable development goals.

In terms of policy, delegates recommended developing a mechanism to support innovation, especially simplifying administrative procedures in granting patents. At the same time, there should be policies to promote the commercialization of scientific and technological products, increase the rate of technology transfer and standardize patents according to international standards.

In the field of education, training and research and development (R&D), there is a need to train green transformation skills for young researchers, pupils and students.

Proposals also include establishing a public investment fund for green innovation enterprises, supporting enterprises to access green credit, and 3-5 year tax exemption/reduction for startups that achieve environmental certification.

Adapting to global change and developing educational culture

In the discussion session “Sustainable adaptation to the challenges of the era of global change”, Dr. Le Thi Thuy (University of Science) recommended building a digital transformation system, creating digital copies in all fields to optimize and warn of risks early, suitable for the geographical context of Vietnam.

For the session “Developing cultural and educational foundations in the new era”, Dr. Vo Duc Thang proposed to strengthen the connection between intellectuals in the innovation network and Vietnamese intellectuals in Taiwan. At the same time, it is necessary to build a database and establish recognized networks and professional associations of Vietnamese people around the world.

Aspiration to contribute and vision for the future

From the discussion sessions, young intellectuals at home and abroad have created a common vision and proposed many specific initiatives to connect resources, promote innovation, transfer technology and develop the country sustainably in the era of globalization.

Mr. Nguyen Tuong Lam, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union shared: "This is a forum that not only gathers intelligence but also patriotism and the desire to contribute of young Vietnamese people around the world."

Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Viet Hang, Head of the Global Network of Young Vietnamese Intellectuals, concluded that the discussion activities ensured continuity, with a focus on implementing Resolution 57 of the Politburo through pilot projects and public-private partnerships.

Associate Professor Dao Viet Hang commented: "The Global Network of Young Vietnamese Intellectuals plays the role of a connecting "thread", helping intellectuals abroad understand the national situation and make real contributions."

The proposals of young intellectuals focus on high feasibility for the 2025-2030 period, with a vision to 2045, stemming from reality and connecting with the innovation ecosystem, demonstrating the strong desire to contribute of the young generation of Vietnam.
