Van Mieu Lake Park (Vo Cuong Ward) has an area of 30.15 hectares, planned according to modern architecture, open space, integrating water regulation, air conditioning and entertainment functions. With a system of 3 lakes and more than 1,000 trees including osaka, royal poinciana, red willow..., the park contributes to creating an urban ecological environment landscape.
In addition, the park is fully equipped with fitness equipment suitable for all ages. Put into use since 2017, the park has become a place for outdoor sports activities. For many years, Mr. Bach Van Duc, Kinh Bac ward has maintained the habit of jogging around the Van Mieu lake because of the spacious, airy space, with a lake combined with green trees.

Similarly, Nguyen Phi Y Lan Park is located between Phu Dong Thien Vuong and Nguyen Phi Y Lan streets (Kinh Bac ward), a green space with a lake, trees and grass all year round, stone benches for resting and an area for organizing cultural and sports events. In the center of the park is a statue of King Ly Thai To holding the "Chieu doi do" (Movement of the Capital Edict), facing Thang Long - Hanoi . This is the venue for many events such as art performances and fireworks on New Year's Eve.
In recent years, Bac Ninh province has focused on planning a green park system based on the regional population, forming an urban network connected by green streets. Thereby creating spaces for entertainment, recreation, and sports, while contributing to improving the living environment, reducing noise, absorbing CO₂, providing oxygen, creating green architecture, and improving the quality of life.
Realizing the importance of "green lungs" for the city, in addition to the role of functional units, people also join hands to protect and take care of parks, raise awareness of maintaining public hygiene, and protect public property. Remember in 2024, Typhoon Yagi (Typhoon No. 3) swept through and caused great damage to the Northern region, many trees in the provincial parks were broken and felled. Immediately after the storm, functional forces and people urgently joined hands to clean up the scene and overcome the consequences of the natural disaster. Just a few months later, the green space of the parks was quickly restored, creating a green and clean environment.
The urbanization rate of the province is increasing. It is necessary to pay attention to planning and building green parks to create more and more “green lungs” in urban areas, practically contributing to reducing environmental pollution and improving the quality of life for people.
