At the meeting and discussion on the topic "State management in e-commerce" with students majoring in e-commerce, Faculty of Economics and Management, Dai Nam University on June 6 in Hanoi, Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan - Director of the Center for E-commerce and Digital Technology Development (eComDX), Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ) affirmed that mastering legal regulations is an urgent requirement for students in the context of e-commerce developing strongly.
According to Mr. Tuan, understanding the law correctly and fully not only helps protect consumer rights and avoid legal risks, but is also a fundamental factor for students to be ready to integrate into the digital labor market. This is an indispensable asset for young people to assert their abilities in a business environment full of opportunities but also hidden with many challenges.
The seminar attracted a lot of attention from lecturers and students in the school, demonstrating the training institution's initiative in updating practical knowledge and enhancing professional capacity for e-commerce students. In addition to providing basic legal knowledge, the program also helps students gain a deeper understanding of common violations in the digital environment such as counterfeit goods, counterfeit goods, intellectual property infringement and how to identify and respond to risks arising in online business.
Mr. Tuan carefully analyzed important legal documents regulating e-commerce activities in Vietnam, including Decree 52/2013/ND-CP and notable amendments and supplements in Decree 85/2021/ND-CP. New points such as enhancing the responsibility of e-commerce trading floors, transparency of seller information, protection of consumer data, etc. are considered important steps to perfect the legal framework, promoting healthy and sustainable e-commerce development.
“E-commerce students need to master these regulations not only for their future work, but also to contribute to building a safe and civilized online business environment,” Mr. Tuan emphasized.
Also at the program, eComDX representatives shared practical information on inspection, examination and handling of violations in e-commerce, with many specific and vivid situations. This helps students approach the law not only from a theoretical perspective but also clearly see the role of law in regulating the market, protecting brands and the rights of parties in electronic transactions.
A representative of the Faculty of Economics and Management, Dai Nam University, said that e-commerce is currently a major chosen by many young people due to its development potential and the increasing demand for human resources in the digital transformation era. However, to meet practical requirements, students not only need to be good at their profession and apply technology well, but also need to understand the law and know how to apply the law to their work. Therefore, the school always focuses on updating the training program, strengthening activities to connect with businesses and management agencies to help students have a comprehensive perspective, practical skills and high adaptability.
