According to statistics from the Department of Tourism , during the 4-day National Day holiday (from August 30 to September 2), Ho Chi Minh City welcomed about 1.45 million visitors, including 45,600 international visitors. The number of guests staying at accommodation establishments reached about 300,000, with an average room occupancy rate of 87%. Total tourism revenue is estimated at VND4,140 billion.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism said that the results were achieved thanks to the Department's coordination with travel agencies and destinations to promote tours to historical sites and encourage units to build products connecting revolutionary imprints with the image of a modern, dynamic Ho Chi Minh City.
Highlights include a series of events celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, combined with the promotion of tourism programs associated with historical relics such as the heritage discovery program "Discovering Saigon" connecting the Post Office , Notre Dame Cathedral, Independence Palace, experiencing open-top buses to explore famous tourist destinations of the City, Saigon River cruise, Water Bus attracting many tourists.
During the September 2nd holiday this year, cultural and artistic activities also bring many experiences to tourists coming to Ho Chi Minh City such as: visiting the Museum, Independence Palace, Zoo and Botanical Garden, fireworks display... Shopping malls, Suoi Tien cultural tourism area, Dai Nam tourist area, Vung Tau and Ho Tram beach areas... are destinations for many tourists. For the first time, at Ben Thanh Metro Station (Metro Line 1, Ho Chi Minh City), City Sale 2025 will be implemented with many branded products discounted up to 80%.
In addition, attractive promotional policies from businesses also make tourists choose Ho Chi Minh City as a destination, such as accommodation facilities with strong discounts from 15-45%, along with incentives such as free breakfast, service vouchers, shuttle services; restaurants, entertainment areas, and shopping centers also apply "golden promotional hours", with discounts from 10-50% for thousands of products, stimulating tourists' purchasing power and spending./.
