Candidates in Ho Chi Minh City take the 2025 high school graduation exam

After 2 days of June 28 and 29, the marking committee completed marking the exam papers of 99,578 candidates taking the 2025 high school graduation exam; today (June 30), Ho Chi Minh City officially entered the marking phase.
Accordingly, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training has established an examination board with an independent essay board and multiple-choice board. Each board will work with the examiners to agree on the answers and mark the papers. The marking process is expected to be completed on July 8.
Then, from July 9 to July 13, the assigned departments will connect essay data, compare results... According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, at exactly 8:00 a.m. on July 16, the Department of Education and Training will announce the graduation exam results.
At 8:00 a.m. on July 16, candidates used their registration number and citizen identification card to look up their high school graduation exam scores at https://thanhnien.vn/giao-duc/tra-cuu-diem-tot-nghiep-thpt.htm .
At the press conference after the end of the high school graduation exam on the evening of June 27, referring to the exam marking work, the representative of the Ministry of Education and Training said that they will continue to direct, guide and strengthen inspection, examination and supervision to ensure good implementation of the stages of exam marking, comparison of exam score data, announcement of exam results, review of exam papers, consideration of high school graduation recognition for candidates and university and college admission. The inspection teams of the National Examination Steering Committee and the exam marking inspection team of the Ministry of Education and Training will conduct inspections of the exam marking work at all exam councils during this activity to enhance the seriousness of the exam marking work.
In Ho Chi Minh City this year, there were 99,578 candidates taking the high school graduation exam (an increase of 8,891 candidates compared to last year). Of which, 1,638 candidates took the exam under the old program (GDPT 2006) and 97,940 candidates took the exam under the new program (GDPT 2018). In the 2025 high school graduation exam, foreign languages led in the number of candidates registered with 49,328 (accounting for 50.37%), followed by physics with 43,176 candidates (44.08%) and chemistry with 27,796 candidates (28.38%). Natural sciences were also chosen by many students with a total of 79,045 candidates.
