General Department of Logistics and Engineering: Handing over 2-wheeled motorbikes in Vinh Long province

In compliance with the direction of the Minister of National Defense on researching and proposing to ensure motorcycle equipment for the Military Command at the commune level nationwide, from mid-July 2025, the General Department of Logistics and Technology has directed the Department of Motorcycles and Transport to coordinate with agencies and units to research and propose vehicle types for timely implementation, ensuring for the units.

Major General Vu Van Cuong, Deputy Commissar of the General Department of Logistics and Engineering, delivered a speech directing the conference.

Based on the current situation of staffing, organization, functions and tasks of the Commune-level Military Commands, the General Department of Logistics and Technology has proposed to the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense to purchase more than 6,000 two-wheeled motorbikes of various types to equip the Commune-level Military Commands, each unit with 2 motorbikes.

Of which, for units in Military Region 9, 990 vehicles will be equipped, and the Military Command of Vinh Long province will be equipped with 248 vehicles. This type of vehicle has features and techniques suitable for operations in the areas, high reliability, durability, ease of use, and convenience in ensuring technical repairs.

Speaking at the conference, Major General Vu Van Cuong, Deputy Commissar of the General Department of Logistics and Engineering, emphasized: "The authorities need to quickly carry out registration procedures, manage the use of vehicles strictly and in accordance with regulations; vehicle users must meet all the conditions prescribed by the State and the Ministry of National Defense; manage and exploit the use of vehicles strictly, in accordance with regulations, effectively, ensuring safety, economy and traffic safety. Each officer and soldier needs to consider this a valuable asset of the unit, must regularly preserve, maintain and repair according to the manufacturer's recommendations and instructions for use of the Department of Motor Vehicles - Transport, General Department of Logistics and Engineering".
