The abbot and the monks at the Vu Lan ceremony of filial piety at Thien Lam Pagoda - Go Ken
Attending the event were Most Venerable Thich Minh Thien - Member of the Executive Council, Deputy Head of the Central Propagation Committee, Witness of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Tay Ninh province; Most Venerable Thich Quang Tam - Member of the Executive Council, Deputy Head of the Central Social Charity Committee, Head of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Tay Ninh province; Chairman of the Association for the Support of the Disabled, the Poor and Protection of Children's Rights in Tay Ninh province Nguyen Van Qua; leaders and former leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors.
The ceremony began with the rose pinning ceremony. The red rose symbolizes the happiness of having parents alive, while the white rose is a painful reminder of loss, so that everyone can cherish the moments with their family even more.
The longevity wreaths were solemnly presented by the temple representatives to parents as a wish for health, happiness and longevity, and also a reminder that filial piety needs to be shown in the smallest actions, every day.
Buddhist attendees were given longevity wreaths.
This year’s Vu Lan Festival is also a bridge to spread compassion and the spirit of mutual love to the community. The program awarded 200 “Tu Phong Wisdom Nurturing” scholarships and 50 bicycles to students in especially difficult circumstances.
This is not only a material gift, but also a great source of motivation, helping children to be more confident in their studies and continue to nurture their dreams.

In addition, 300 gifts were also given to the visually impaired, bringing joy and warmth during the Vu Lan season, joining in the atmosphere of celebrating National Day September 2./.
