Provincial Youth Union visited and gave necessities to people in flood-hit areas

On the afternoon of September 11, the Provincial Youth Union coordinated with Bai Dinh Pagoda to visit and present necessities to households in Nho Quan and Gia Vien districts who are isolated in the flooded area of Hoang Long River.

Leaders of the Provincial Youth Union, Bai Dinh Pagoda and local leaders visited the situation of households in Binh An village (Lac Van commune, Nho Quan district).

Sharing the difficulties of the households, the Provincial Youth Union and Bai Dinh Pagoda donated 250 barrels of water, 400 barrels of milk, 152 barrels of burnt rice, 135 barrels of dry food and 100 life jackets to people in flooded villages and hamlets of Nho Quan and Gia Vien districts, with a total value of nearly 300 million VND.

Previously, on the morning of September 11, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee also coordinated with Bai Dinh Pagoda, Tam Chuc Pagoda and Xuan Truong Construction Enterprise to organize 4 working delegations to Yen Bai, Lao Cai, Lang Son and Bac Giang provinces.

The working groups, led by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union, transported 30 relief boats, more than 20 tons of necessities (water, milk, burnt rice, dry food, instant noodles, bread, etc.), 1,200 life jackets and boat drivers ready to add strength, contributing to ensuring the safety of people's lives and property.

Thus, on September 11 alone, Ninh Binh youth coordinated with units to mobilize resources of more than 1.4 billion VND to support people in flood-affected areas inside and outside the province.

In the coming days, the provincial Youth Union chapters will continue to mobilize resources and organize delegations to directly deliver essential supplies to isolated households in the province's flood-hit areas. At the same time, they will actively mobilize union members to support the authorities in search and rescue. Thereby, promoting the spirit of volunteerism; supporting to minimize the damage of storm No. 3 and sharing love with people in flood-hit areas.
