Searching for young talents "National Guitar Talent Festival 2024"

This is a professionally organized guitar competition for contestants aged 7 and up, taking place from August 1 to October 27.

At the press conference to launch the competition on May 12 in Hanoi, explaining the creation of a competition playground exclusively for guitar lovers, Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan, Chairman of the Vietnam Institute forEducational and Cultural Development, Head of the competition organizing committee, said that the art of guitar in Vietnam is currently quite popular and pursued by many people.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan, President of the Vietnam Institute for Educational and Cultural Development, Head of the contest organizing committee, spoke at the press conference.

The competition is organized to meet the wishes of many guitar lovers across the country who want to experience a large national playground. Hopefully, the competition will attract a large number of candidates, bring inspiration and contribute to the strong development of the trend of practicing, performing and enjoying guitar.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan, the 2024 National Guitar Talent Festival is different from previous competitions in that it not only targets professionals but also expands opportunities to non-professionals, thereby discovering and nurturing guitar talents in the community, guiding them towards professional activities.

Contestants nationwide can register to compete in two categories: classical and freestyle. Contestants are divided into 5 groups according to age (7-10 years old, 11-14 years old, 15-17 years old, 18-24 years old, 25 years old and above).

Each group has 3 rounds, including the qualifying round - "Talent Search" (from August 1 to 18), the semi-final round - "Shining Round" (from October 5 to 20), the final round and the award ceremony gala (October 26 and 27). In which, the qualifying round and semi-final round are held in 3 regions: North, Central, South. The final round is expected to select 300 candidates to compete at the Vietnam National Academy of Music ( Hanoi ).

The judges of the competition are prestigious lecturers and artists from the Vietnam National Academy of Music , Hanoi College of Arts, Hue Academy of Music, Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, Vietnam National Song and Dance Theater, etc.

The Organizing Committee will provide individual consultation and orientation sessions for the winning contestants; organize exchange activities and share experiences with famous international artists; organize mini concerts to create a performance stage, improve skills and help talents develop confidently.
