From July 1 to September 15, at Hoa Lo Prison Historical Relic, 25 historical and cultural relics, revolutionary relics and souvenir sites in Hanoi will be introduced in the thematic exhibition "A glimpse of heritage". The exhibition is organized by the Hoa Lo Prison Relic Management Board on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Hanoi being awarded the title "City for Peace " by UNESCO (July 16, 1999 - July 16, 2024).

The exhibition “A glimpse of heritage” introduces documents and images of 25 historical and cultural relics, revolutionary relics and event memorial sites of Hanoi. Through this, it contributes to reminding the merits and heroic sacrifices of generations of cadres, soldiers and people who fought for the independence and freedom of the nation and built Hanoi - “Heroic Capital”, “City for Peace”.

Here, the public will have the opportunity to explore many French architectural works that are now recognized as national monuments such as: the Exhibition Area; Hanoi Court; house number 90 Jean Soler Street (now Tho Nhuom Street), the workplace of the Provisional Party Central Committee, where comrade Tran Phu wrote the draft of the Party's Political Platform in 1930; house number 5D Dourdart de Lagreé Avenue (now Ham Long Street), where the first Communist Party cell in Vietnam was established; the Indochina Bank - Hanoi Branch built on Courbet Avenue (now Ly Thai To Street), where in July 1939 the late General Secretary Nguyen Van Cu wrote the work "Self-criticism"; house number 101 Gambetta Street (now Tran Hung Dao Street), the headquarters of the Hanoi Military Revolutionary Committee (ie the Uprising Committee) in August 1945...

Viewers will have the opportunity to explore the history of familiar relics such as: Opera House, August Revolution Square, Lang Fort, Ba Dinh Square, Dong Xuan Market, Hoa Lo Prison, Long Bien Bridge, Hang Trong Post Office, Hanoi Railway Station, Bach Mai Hospital, Hanoi Flag Tower...

The exhibition “A glimpse of heritage” will run until September 15 at the Hoa Lo Prison Historical Site, No. 1 Hoa Lo Street, Tran Hung Dao Ward, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi.
