The program was jointly organized by the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese (Ministry of Foreign Affairs ) and Hanoi Radio and Television, the Gala program of Dear Vietnamese Language with the theme "The river flows forever, connecting all directions" and the Award Ceremony of the Contest "Vietnamese Language Ambassadors Abroad" in 2025.

The program attracted the participation of leaders of ministries and branches, more than 100 overseas Vietnamese from many continents and nearly 80 overseas Vietnamese teachers participating in a training course on teaching Vietnamese to the overseas Vietnamese community.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Nguyen Trung Kien emphasized that this year marks the third time the Gala for Vietnamese Language has been held; it is an activity within the framework of the Project "Day to Honor Vietnamese Language in the Overseas Vietnamese Community in the period of 2023-2030" approved by the Prime Minister in 2022. The program has brought overseas Vietnamese around the world a unique art event, honoring the beauty of the Vietnamese language; at the same time, expressing gratitude to organizations and individuals who have contributed and spread the love for Vietnamese language more and more widely, becoming an event that people look forward to.

Sharing about the topic "The river flows forever, connecting all directions", Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien said that the Vietnamese language is like a river, attached to every Vietnamese person; originating from the lullabies of parents and grandparents, from familiar folk songs and proverbs, then gradually permeating the soul through poems, songs, and history lessons, constantly cultivating love for the homeland and country; spreading with Vietnamese children to all corners of the world. And even though the river flows out to the ocean, it still carries the sweetness of the homeland, just like the Vietnamese language, no matter where it is heard, it still retains the soul of the nation. Vietnamese people all over the world, no matter where they go, still turn to the Fatherland - like salmon returning to the river of their roots - to continue life and pass on their roots.
